Privacy Policy

Slingstorm ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Slingstorm mobile game available on Google Play and the website at slingstorm.io. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By playing Slingstorm or using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the game and its features.

What we do NOT collect: email addresses, real names, photos, precise location, phone contacts, microphone or camera data, or any personally identifiable information beyond your Google Play gaming identity.

2. How We Use Information

Display your display name on in-game leaderboards
Sync your game progress across devices and restore it after reinstall
Verify and restore in-app purchases you have made
Serve in-game advertisements (interstitial and rewarded) via Google AdMob
Enforce fair play (anti-cheat rate limiting and score sanity checks on our backend)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to operating Slingstorm.

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing data they receive:

Google AdMob — serves in-game advertisements and may collect your Android Advertising ID and device signals for ad targeting. Google Privacy Policy ↗. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Google Play Games Services — provides sign-in and supplies your player ID and display name to our leaderboard backend. Google Privacy Policy ↗.

RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase receipts and entitlements. They receive your purchase history and device identifiers to verify and restore purchases. RevenueCat Privacy Policy ↗.

Cloudflare — hosts our backend API (api.slingstorm.io) and website. Traffic passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare Privacy Policy ↗.

4. Data Retention

Game save and leaderboard data: retained until you delete your account via the in-game "Reset Progress" option, which sends a deletion request to our backend and removes all records associated with your player ID.
AdMob data: governed by Google's retention policies.
RevenueCat data: governed by RevenueCat's retention policies; purchase records may be retained as required by applicable law.

5. Delete Your Account or Data

You can request deletion of your Slingstorm account and all associated data at any time.

How to delete your account in-app (instant):

Open Slingstorm on your device
Tap the ⚙ Settings button
Tap Reset Progress and confirm
This immediately sends a deletion request to our backend and permanently removes your player record, all leaderboard scores, and your cloud save data from our servers

Alternatively, email support@slingstorm.io with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we will manually delete your data within 7 days.

What gets deleted when you reset progress or submit a deletion request:

Your Google Play Games player ID and display name from our servers
All leaderboard scores (daily, weekly, all-time)
Your cloud save data (level, coins, upgrades, achievements, streak)
Level completion time records

What is NOT deleted (outside our control):

Purchase receipts — Google Play and RevenueCat are legally required to retain transaction records. To request deletion of that data, contact Google Play support ↗ and RevenueCat ↗ directly.
Ad interaction data — retained by Google AdMob per their policies. Opt out via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

6. Your Other Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or port your personal data (including under GDPR and similar laws). To exercise these rights, email support@slingstorm.io and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Slingstorm is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at support@slingstorm.io and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

All data transmitted between the app and our backend (api.slingstorm.io) is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers with Cloudflare's built-in DDoS protection and network security. We do not store payment card details — all payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Slingstorm after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes we will provide notice via an in-game notification.
